Safety Measures
safe spaces to shareOur Coronavirus amendment policy
We understand the uncertainty surrounding bookings right now, so we’d like to give you confidence when it comes to reserving your room.
If you book a room for 21/22 you will be able to cancel without any penalties. We promise we'll look out for your wellbeing, whether that's supporting you in booking with us or pointing you in the direction of where financial aid is available to you.
from booking through to moving in
Friargate Court has remained open and operational throughout the pandemic, we have spent this time adapting, creating, maintaining, improving and getting ready to welcome you.
We know there's plenty of questions during this period of transition and we want to offer you peace of mind. Here are the steps you'll take from booking your room through to moving in.
If your university start date is postponed you can change yours too, free of charge. All students looking to stay at Friargate Court for the academic year starting September 2020 are eligible.
1. choosing your flexible start date
2. checking & moving in
To make your arrival as smooth as possible we'll be allocating time slots for all new residents on their move in day, to reduce queues and over-crowding at reception.
Travelling from abroad means you'll be required to isolate for 14 days to meet the government guidelines. We're supporting this by offering 2 weeks rent free* while you're in quarantine at Friargate Court.
*Valid to all 6+ month contracts

4. sharing safe spaces
We've implemented enhanced safety and distancing measures throughout Riverside House to make sure we're doing everything we can to support safe shared living.
Don't forget; the people in your cluster will form your household bubble. This means you will still be able to socialise with each other should any local lockdowns be imposed.
stopping the spread
We continue to monitor the situation to guarantee that our services and resident support can be adapted as required, and continue without interruption.
